Balloo House

Experience can account for a lot.  Which for the Balloo House would do its reputation no harm, seeing as it has been around for nearly four hundred years.  Today they still have a rush hospitality running through it.

Time has worn the surrounding building to its favour.  A warm, easy and traditional vibe will floor through you as you step through its door.  And with Northern Ireland usually ripe with cold weather, the Balloo House doesn’t have anything to do with it.  You can warm oneself in its range, or by the selection of spirits available.

Then it is time for dinner.  An appetite has rarely been treated so well.  And that’s only the Bistro.

Up the staircase and you’ll find the restaurant – a place full of care, friendliness and food.  For all events – get together with friends, romance, business and family – they can all be held here for the finest experience in taste.  You can even hire areas of the building for private events –  something everyone involved with won’t forget.

And with the main chef Danny Miller winning 2006’s  ‘Best Chef in Ireland’award (among other awards), this is bound to be a cause to find the proof in his pudding.

Opening times are from noon until nine pm, unless it’s the weekend where the restaurant stays open for a further thirty minutes.

(Be aware that The Mill at Balloo House is adjoined to the restaurant where you can stay overnight)
