Ards Solar Company gets new partnership

A CO DOWN solar energy firm has teamed up with an Australasian venture to market heating systems in key European markets.

The partnership deal between CoolSky, of Newtownards, and Apricus Solar, a Chinese-Australian company now a world leader in solar heat collection tubes, was agreed at the recent InterSolar industry exhibition in Munich last weekend.

CoolSky has taken on the role of expanding Apricus Solar’s European marketing presence through a sales and marketing partnership.

Apricus, one of Australia’s fastest growing companies, already has a number of important installations in Europe, including the Hospital Son Espacses in Majorca, where 11,000 tubes provide 70% of the hospital’s daily hot water supply.

CoolSky co-founder and managing director Kathy McVeigh said the partnership is “immensely important”.

“We also have extensive experience in marketing solar technology in key European markets including France and Germany, which enables us to provide Apricus with the knowledge and technical support for fast growth in these markets,” she said.

“Apricus is an ideal fit for us because of our knowledge of solar tube technology.
